Mentor Program

Recognising that Victoria has a number of industry leaders, the Victorian Tourism Awards Unit has enlisted the support of former Judges and Hall of Fame winners to continue the successful Mentor Program. This group of experienced people is willing to volunteer their time and expertise to assist operators with advice and guidance about preparing a quality Tourism Awards online submission. For the 2009 Mentor Program, 79 businesses registered to work with a mentor.

The Mentor Program is available for business categories only.

Applications for the Mentor Program (experienced entrants only) will be accepted until 5 July 2010.

Process for businesses registered in the Mentor Program

  1. The Mentor will contact you directly to arrange a suitable meeting date and time. View the VTA mentors.
  2. 24 hours prior, each meeting will be reconfirmed by the Mentor.
  3. All support from the Mentor will cease by Friday 30 July 2010. 
    Online submissions are due by Wednesday 25 August 2010 at 4.00pm.

Policy Commitment

The Victorian Tourism Awards has a confidentiality policy. The information requested via the Mentor Program Application Form has been gathered for the exclusive purpose of managing the Victorian Tourism Awards Mentor Program and may be viewed bythe Awards Unit staff and Mentors. Mentors are required to sign a detailed Confidentiality Agreement prior to working with a Mentee. The Mentors are separate from, and have no influence over, the Victorian Tourism Awards Judging Panel.

In addition, it is a policy of the Mentor Panel not to accept gratuities, gifts etc.
