Little Desert Nature Lodge Whimpey's Tours
Little Desert Tours was formed originally to give children an opportunity to experience and understand the flora and fauna in the Little Desert. We are the founders of environmental science programs (now called ecotourism). Since our beginning in 1970, thousands of children from Australia and overseas, have experienced our unique environmental program. Many students are now revisiting the Little Desert Lodge with their own families to share the same experience with their children. Many thousands of bird observers (national and international) have enjoyed viewing our many rare and endangered species of birds. We offer: lodge accomodation - bunk and ensuite; restaurant and fully licensed bar; 4WD tours of the Little Desert; Malleefowl aviary tours; spotlight night walks to view the nocturnal animals; new sanctuary flora and fauna walks.
