Lake Mountain is Melbourne's closest alpine resort and less than two hours from the city, it is the perfect family day trip destination. With an altitude of over 1500 metres above sea level, Lake Mountain is the resort closest to the city with 40km of world class ski trails along with seven toboggan runs and an abundance of snow play areas. During the spring and summer, the ski trails become great walking tracks, and challenging mountain bike rides where you can view fascinating arrays of flora and fauna.
