Geelong Otway Tourism has created and refined a recipe for bringing together key stakeholders in the region who can deliver services to the business and meetings market, whilst also stimulating a high level of demand for those services. With the support of our industry partners, we attract nearly 20,000 conference delegates a year, with an average growth in economic benefits to the region of 45 per cent, per annum. Key strategies to achieve this have included the provision of hands-on support to conference organisers, the leveraging of financial resources from the local tourism industry, and the implementation of high-impact destination marketing programs.
