Discovery Coast Destination Promotion Campaign
Nestled in the south west corner of Victoria, the Glenelg Shire Council boasts a rich maritime history and inspiring natural attractions. In the 2004/2005 financial year, council, in conjunction with the regional tourist association, Discovery Coast Tourism, successfully launched a new branding and marketing campaign. Its aim was to increase awareness of the region as a tourism destination and included new branding, a new logo and slogan, three 30-second television commercials and two new regional brochures. The project was jointly funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development and the Glenelg Shire Council.
