Golden Dragon Museum

Golden Dragon Museum

Experience the living history of the Chinese people of Bendigo from the gold rush to the present at the Golden Dragon Museum. In the 1890s an impressive imperial dragon known as Loong was purchased from China. He is now the world’s oldest Imperial Dragon. Also, on display is Sun Loong, the world’s longest Imperial Dragon, who stretches his legs annually at the Bendigo Easter Festival. The museum beautifully displays processional regalia, carved furniture and delicately embroidered costumes from the renown craftsmen of China from past centuries and incorporates the tranquil settings of the Yi Yuan Classical Chinese Garden and Kuan Yin Temple.
