East Gippsland Institute of TAFE’s regional ‘footprint’ is geographically vast, covering 14 per cent of Victoria, with a total population of 85,000. The region takes in a diverse range of tourism attractions that include; snow fields, rainforests, the Gippsland Lakes and a stunning coast line with endless beaches. Tourism and holiday destinations include Lakes Entrance, Metung, the 90 Mile Beach through to Mallacoota. The Hospitality & Service Industries staff of EGTAFE are innovative leaders in the field of post secondary education They are passionate about their industry and committed to providing excellence through delivery of high quality Tourism education and training. Their flexible, lateral approach and ability to create working relationships with industry networks and associations are pivotal to their success. We are therefore able to provide students who participate/graduate in training with an extensive and realistic grasp of the diversity of the industry and career opportunities that are available.
