Swan Hill Rural City Council (Swan Hill Region Information Centre)

The New Swan Hill Region Information Centre opened for business on Saturday 2 July 2005. This landmark event was the culmination of years of planning and development of what was a former library site to a Information Centre. With a vision to create a centrepiece and regional icon for the region the Swan Hill Region Information Centre concept was born. Since then, in consultation with the local tourism industry, Council developed a business case for the relocation of the Centre. The new Centre was purpose built, and is a architecturally significant building located on the bypass route and close to the town centre. With over double the display space of the previous Information Centre it has allowed expansion of merchandise, and a number of different products once unable offer.
