RACV Tourism & Travel

The comprehensive tourism and travel services provided within the RACV website, www.racv.com.au, make up a significant percentage of the motoring organisation’s 2 million annual tourism enquiries. During 2004/05, RACV received more than a million tourism inquiries online. In 2005/06, these numbers increased by an astounding 42 percent, to almost 1.8 million visitors. Hitwise and Roy Morgan polls rate the site as the 9th ranking search when exploring within travel (destinations and accommodation). Established five years ago, the site now provides visitors with access to services including travel insurance, attractions and events bookings, car hire and online mapping. It also incorporates the largest secure online accommodation directory in Australia. To ensure the site functions as a viable tourism resource for everyone, almost all its features are accessible to RACV members and the general public alike.
