On the last week in February each year the Wood, Wine & Roses Festival showcases Heywood and district’s magnificent local industries, produce, people, art, craft, food & wine with displays, wine and cheese tastings, competitions, parades, rides and much, much more. The 3 ‘elements’ wood, wine and roses identify with the history and the future of the area. The timber industry was the foundation of the Heywood area.The present and future of the district are evident with the emergence of the wine industry and the beauty of the roses showcased in and around the town.
