Countrywide Cottages
We offer a fabulous array of funkily themed cottages set amongst the native orchids, pink heath and messmates of the Bambra bushland belt. It offers a plethora of in house visitor experiences, or our guests can just sitting back and do not one thing at all. Situated in the delightful Otway hinterland, we are surrounded by galleries, berry farms, wineries and restaurants par excellence! Our AAA 4 star rated property has 26 acres, 16 acres of which is native bushland, housing four self contained cottages (we do not provide meals). It provides delightful bush walks from the cottage doors around the 16 acres which lead into the Otway Forest Park over a newly built stile at the edge of the property. The themes of our cottages have arisen from our own favourite travel experiences. Guests can select from the Beach House, Igloo, Villa or Castle. Cottages feature wood or gas log fires, full size kitchens and huge living areas. Private bonfire pits at the front of each cottage cater to the luxury style camping lovers. We also offer a communal recreation area with gas BBQ and pool table, dart board and space to kick the footy or to bowl a few overs. There is a large dam containing yabbies, which guests are invited to catch and eat should they choose. Our new pamper packages, including wonderful gourmet treats, champagne, fluffy robes and in house massage are a treat to behold. Guests are encouraged to bring their pets. While many dog, and occasional budgie, owners have happily taken up this option, we still eagerly await our first equine visitor to the stables! We offer daily animal feeding times during which guests and their children are invited to help feed the alpacas, bunnies, sheep and chickens. Come on down – you deserve it!
