2005 RACV Energy Breakthrough

The RACV Energy Breakthrough is a highly successful educational tourism festival held annually in Maryborough since 1991. An initiative of the Central Goldfields Shire (CGSC), the event attracts more than 20,000 visitors to the town and surrounding region and accounts for about 25 percent of the region’s annual visitor numbers. The RACV Energy Breakthrough provides a significant revenue injection for local businesses and the general community, as well as contributing to permanent improvements in the town’s infrastructure and amenities. It also fosters a growing tourism and educational connection between regional communities throughout Victoria and around Australia.
