Cape Schanck Lightstation

Cape Schanck Lightstation offers a unique accommodation experience which transports visitors back in time. Situated in a fully enclosed maritime precinct, accommodation is in the original Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage. As no lighthouse keeper lives on site any longer, guests are free to pretend to be the lighthouse keeper during their stay. Accommodation includes a guided tour of a fully operational lighthouse, with access to our maritime museum. To conclude the day, watch the sun set and the light beam sweep over Bass Strait as it has done since 1859.
