Tarra Festival From its inception in 1971 to today, the Tarra Festival has been the embodiment of community spirit. The Festival brings together the residents of this rural township and the surrounding district in a celebration of its history while showcasing all that Yarram has to offer. The involvement of community groups, school children and residents, both young and old, brings a wealth of skills and ideas. Attracting more than 10,000 visitors to Yarram, the Tarra Festival is a major tourist attraction and highlights many aspects of living in regional Victoria. With members coming from local service clubs, community groups and schools, the Festival has made a considerable contribution to the economy and social welfare of Yarram.
