Sand Sculpting Australia
Sand Sculpting Australia – Rye 2004 brought together the best of Australian and international master sand sculptors, who used their artistic talents to carve their magic into 3,000 tonnes of sand. The sand sculptures depicted characters and scenes from new and classic Disney and Disney/Pixar films including The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, and Finding Nemo. Visitors strolled through the event to view sculptures and participate in a range of activities, including an interactive sandpit. Funds raised from the event go to the Vision Australia Foundation to assist in providing services to blind or vision impaired people.
