Cape Schanck Lightstation

Cape Schanck Lightstation offers a unique accommodation experience where guests are transformed back in time. Situated in a fully enclosed maritime precinct, accommodation is in the original lighthouse keeper’s cottages. As there is no lighthouse keeper on site any longer, guests can pretend to be the lighthouse keeper while they stay. Activities include a guided tour of the fully operational lighthouse and access to the maritime museum. To conclude your day, watch the sun set and the light beam sweep over Bass Strait as it has done since 1859.
